Mini Model Mania

We live in a city with a profound housing shortage, and we know – as renters – we have something that people need.  We would rather house people then spend thousands of dollars, and dozens of hours, on setting up a model just to show them.  Plus, when we remove a unit from the market – relegating it to a dismal life of model-hood – it becomes virtually un-rentable. We knew there had to be a better way to showcase a unit’s full potential and achieve 100% occupancy. So we put our heads together and came up with what we believe to be the perfect solution to this stumper – the mini model!

Agile, adorable, affordable, and don’t forget flippin’ convenient, the mini model does it all.  Set it up, charm the pants off your prospective residents, and then, while they are signing that lease, simply load your sweet little mini-model up into a rubber tub (conveniently located in a closet within the unit) and move it to your next vacant.  See, so easy a monkey could do it!*

The mini model is composed of several small, simple, fool-proof elements.  Follow this guide, and you can’t go wrong.

First, get yourself a chair…maybe two.  We don’t really have a preference here. Often the decision between one chair or two will be dictated by the space you wish to showcase.

Then, you are going to need a small side table, which will serve as a landing pad for your fabulous lamp, books, faux plants (yes, they must be faux..ain’t nobody got time for the real thing), or whatever little trinkets your heart desires.

At our Silver Apartments we opted for two chairs because we wanted the model to stretch further into the space.

Pick one or two of these trinkets, don’t get crazy.  We like a lamp and a plant – keep it simple (remember, a monkey should be able to do this!).

Now slide a little rug right up under those chairs, and drop a throw pillow or two on top.  Casually drape a cute throw over the back of one chair to achieve a sultry, “I woke up like this,” look.

Finally, no mini-model is complete without a cute lil’ something in the kitchen and bath.  Again, we like a faux plant or two, maybe a couple jars in the kitchen and a dishtowel.  Folded hand towels in a basket create a relaxing spa-like vibe in any bathroom.  Hang a towel or two on the towel bar, throw a soap dispenser in there, and VOILA!, you’ve got yourself a top notch mini-model.
